ITIL V3 training works on a points based system, where points are accrued by attending accredited ITIL training courses. You need to attend ITIL V3 Foundation to cover the basics of ITIL, before moving on to ITIL Intermediate. ITIL V3 Foundation accrues two points.

ITIL Intermediate

ITIL Intermediate courses are split into two module streams – ITIL Lifecycle and ITIL Capability:

  • ITIL Continual Service Improvement
  • ITIL Service Design
  • ITIL Service Operation
  • ITIL Service Strategy
  • ITIL Service Transition
  • ITIL Operational Support and Analysis
  • ITIL Planning, Protection and Optimisation
  • ITIL Release, Control and Validation
  • ITIL Service Offerings and Agreements

ITIL Expert and additional ITIL courses

To become an ITIL Expert you will need 22 points. Once you have completed one of the streams above, or an alternative combination, you will qualify to sit the ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle course.
